Reflecting the end-of-the-millennium regional vocabulary, this two-story office building places the hallmark plastered masonry walls, green tile double-pitched hipped roof, and kapa-inspired masonry grilles into a well-developed package. The staggered floor plan offers an engaging facade to the street, setting it apart from more boxy examples of this genre. The copper eave line, abbreviated second-story pilasters, first-story segmental-arched openings, and two-story, arcade-like entrance offer sufficient variety to differentiate this commercial building from many similarly conceived structures. The interior continues the enticement of the exterior with the lobby's restrained use of travertine in its baseboards and elevator frame, the stairway's brass hand-rails, and the denticulated tray ceilings.
