In this colorful Queen Anne–style jewelbox of a building, hard, pressed bricks of red, yellow, and black are set in thin black mortar (crudely repointed in recent years with white cement). Segmental brick arches over the windows and a semicircular one above the porch opening are jauntily zebra-striped. Decorative brick corbeling undergirds a wide tin cornice. The polychromy recalls the Central Law Building at 314 S. State Street, Dover (1888). The bank has lost its roof cresting and big iron gates. A rare note of color in a town of grayish vinyl siding, it stands vacant, as do several commercial buildings nearby.
