This 125,000-acre tract, whose Native American ruins were first excavated in 1913 by Earl Morris, has been left “wild.” The park contains unreconstructed Ute and Anasazi ruins. Tours must be accompanied by Ute guides and may be arranged through the Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Park Secretary.
