The largest building in Wiseman is the two-story Northern Commercial Company Store. Located on the river bank for easy unloading, the log structure had corrugated-metal additions, which have since been removed. The round logs are square notched at the corners, and the building is neatly made. The Northern Commercial Company constructed this building about 1910, when it moved here from Coldfoot; it was one of three stores in town.
