This eight-story Gothic Revival building, designed by Hill of Dallas and local architect Blanding, is most emblematic of Corsicana’s ascendency as an important regional center. Cream terra-cotta cladding on the exterior walls is accented by polychromed window spandrels. The top floor is an eruption of intricate Venetian Gothic details. A more typical model for a bank building type is the nearby Classical Revival First National Bank (1915, Field and Clarkson) at 200 S. Beaton.
