This imposing three-story red brick building anchors the northern edge of Corsicana’s commercial district. The facade’s stories are separated by projecting pressed-metal cornices that simulate stone. Second-story window pediments are supported on shallow pilasters, while third-floor windows have brick arches with stone keystones. A tall parapet of closely spaced corbeled brick brackets adds a fortified image. An agricultural implements store originally occupied the first and second floors, with a lodge for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) located on the third. Of special note are the carved human faces seen above the lodge entrance on the Beaton Street side. The intricate, if inconsistent, Italianate detailing and superb craftsmanship distinguish this building.
