1908. 310 E. Main St.

The late construction date of the two-story L-plan Striegler House is a good indicator of the persistence of one of the town's favorite nineteenth-century house forms into the twentieth century. Built for the founder of the Loan and Abstract Company, the detailing of the exterior is limited to the heavy corner quoins and the classically detailed, L-shaped porch with its Tuscan columns. With the exception of the large plate glass window in the face of the projecting ell, the house has survived in original condition and has been adapted for use as a restaurant.
