It seems that it is often the case in architecture that a singular feature ends up setting off a building from the ordinary. In this instance it is a double exterior stairway placed at the center of a two-story porch which “makes” this building. The first run of the pair of stairs leads to a central landing, and then another run leads up to the second-floor porch. The columned porch itself is a simple Colonial Revival design; the building behind is a rectangular brick box.
