This cabin was fortunately preserved by having been encased at a later time within a larger dwelling. It was originally located to the southeast of its present site. It was disassembled in the early 1930s and was subsequently reassembled and restored. The facade of the hewn-log cabin is symmetrical, with a central door balanced to each side by double-hung windows.
