A wood-sheathed Italianate villa with a high tower placed within the front ell, the building has low-pitched roofs that are gabled, their eaves supported by brackets reinforced at each corner by additional pairs of heavy brackets. Numerous additions have been made to the house, but its Italianate qualities are so strong that these porches and two-story additions seem simply ready to be peeled off, so that the building could really reassert its full presence.
