A. T. Henry's handsome, red brick commercial block originally housed the Chaffee County Bank and other substantial businesses. Typical of Italianate commercial buildings, it has elongated, double-hung windows topped by stone arches on the second story and a bracketed metal cornice. A roof-top pediment framing a sunburst design marks the corner entry, and a secondary cornice tops transomed plate glass display windows. Even the metal roof-top finials survive on this cornerstone of the downtown district.
