The Kitty Hensley House took its present form in 1914 when Captain Smythe remodeled a one-story log cabin by adding a tall gambrel-roofed second floor. The house is small, with a bay-windowed living room on the first floor, a kitchen in a one-story, board-and-batten room in the rear, and one room on the second floor.
