First Congregational Church

The prominent corner tower of this frame church terminates in a tall spire. The exterior is covered with fish-scale shingles from grade to windowsill level and clapboards above. Hoard, who is credited with the Craftsman design, was a member of the congregation. The later parish house is also of frame with Craftsman detailing. The presence of this relatively large Congregational church in a small West Virginia community reflects Ceredo's New England heritage.
