Known throughout the Valley for its fried chicken and other Southern dishes, this well-preserved example of mid-twentieth-century roadside architecture is a one-story concrete-block building with a Permastone-clad facade, plate-glass windows, and a hipped roof crowned by a diminutive cupola. The building's fascia, sign over the entrance, and tall freestanding sign directing traffic to the side parking are all decked out in red and green neon. Counters and booths have boomerang-design laminated vinyl tops. The exterior and interior of this eatery have changed little since it opened for business.
