This Gothic Revival cottage based on a design published by Andrew Jackson Downing was constructed for dentist William M. Fuller. The one-and-a-half-story brick dwelling features a gable roof with three small cross gables across the facade, each adorned with sawn bargeboards, diamond-pane casement windows, a projecting entrance bay, and deep eaves with brackets and pendants. Sheltering the front entrance is a one-bay porch with square posts and a diamond-patterned railing. The house was used as Confederate major general Stonewall Jackson's headquarters early in the Civil War and is now a museum operated by the Winchester
