This four-hundred-seat theater has been updated over the years, but it has remained in continuous operation. The square white stucco facade is animated by a pair of large green swirls, in striking contrast to the brick storefronts of the square.
The two-story Farmers State Bank (c. 1925; 115 Shelbyville Street) dominates the north side of the square and has fluted Corinthian columns in antis bracketed by matching pilasters and crowned with a full entablature.
