The former bank building is an unusual combination of a first floor of rock-faced limestone with round-arched windows and a second floor of red brick, with stone-trimmed windows. Unfortunately, the cornice, probably pressed metal, has been removed and replaced with a brick parapet. The stark contrast in materials and color is distinctive, further heightened by the horizontal emphasis created by the stone lintel on the second story.
Across S. Main Street at number 101, the Bosque County Collection (Lumpkin Building; 1884) occupies a two-story structure, stuccoed on the front and of rough-cut limestone blocks on the long Morgan Street side.
