A narrow site on the east edge of campus influenced the organization of this three-story facility. Long and narrow, the design uses the campus standard blend of tawny brick on the outer, public facades, with windows stacked vertically. The heavy masonry wall gives way on the top floor to an arcade of round columns with strip windows in between, all capped with a vaulted metal roof. On the inner, campus side, the long south wall breaks free of the rectangle with a sinuously curving wall of polished Brazilian granite. Windows are individual framed openings, emphasizing the planar quality of the wall. This “breaking of the box” expresses the school’s mission to teach future entrepreneurs to “think outside the box.”
