A bathing beach and bathhouse were among the first amenities built beside White Rock Lake. Stretched across the lakefront, the reinforced concrete one-story structure is expressed with vertically fluted piers in an early Moderne scheme. The compound cornice of the entrance pavilion is cast in abstracted dentils and corbeled modillions. The Center now supports programs of visual and performing arts.
