Yacht Club Hotel (Port Isabel Yacht Club)

It was not by accident that Van Siclen designed the yacht club as the city was re inventing itself as a tourist mecca. The heavy textured, stuccoed facility is in the Mission Revival style, one closely familiar to Van Siclen due to his previous California practice. The club features an Alamoesque parapet, diagonal side wings, full-width two-story gallery, and an octagonal lookout tower at its rear.
