The Bouldin Creek neighborhood is a predominately early-twentieth-century neighborhood with a reputation for eclectic architecture. It also includes a smattering of late-nineteenth-century cottages interspersed with modern interpretations of the vernacular buildings of Central Texas.
Notable new construction by M. J. Neal is at 613 and 615 W. Live Oak Street (both 2001) and the Ramp House (2000) at number 704. Other new early-twenty-first-century houses in the neighborhood include 1922, 2003, 2307, and 2311 2nd Street; 701 Mary Street; 1113 3rd Street; and 1504 Jewell Street.
