Here the late colonial five-bay, two-and-one-half-story format becomes early Victorian. A heavily posted, shallow-arched porch shelters an arched entrance. Square bay windows, topped by scalloping, project on either side. Upstairs, bracketed table hoods project over upstairs windows, with a segmental-arch-onlintel motif at the center reminiscent of a Palladian window, but squashed. Brackets under deep eaves and bristling corner quoining complete the assertive and idiosyncratic features which characterize Victorian sensibility. Scrollcut curlicued bracketing connects the square posts of a side porch. The original stable exists behind the house.
