Built for the principal of a Providence high school, this provides so stark an example of the Conanicut Park paradigm of interlocked one-and-one-half-story T and U, with such exquisite restraint in its scroll-cut embellishment as to seem the prototype for most of the cottages. Whereas most of the other porches couple rather tightly to the body of the house, the wide-spaced, spindly supports here spread beyond the house itself, giving the cottage an exceptionally airy aspect.
