This log house, restored in 2006, is revered as the oldest extant house in Crawford County. It was built while the town was still known as Alden's Mills, and predates the arrival of Daniel Saeger. A shed-roofed porch on the south and a shed-roofed addition on the north have been incorporated under the roofline. An interpretive sign adds to the information available at the site.
