Architects from New Orleans designed this two-story brick Classical Revival courthouse and its c. 1920 addition. Its monumental Ionic portico faces Main Street on a large lot that has been converted to a square. The poured-concrete Moderne jail by Vinson B. Smith was added to the rear in 1937.
