Here the Spanish Colonial Revival style reaches a high point in the state. The two-story house’s massing, horizontal lines, low-pitched red tile roof, stucco exterior, and balconets create a picturesque effect. A chimney and sunroom on the right balance the arcaded porch and one-story garage to the left, forming an asymmetrical composition that is meant to convey incremental additions and a sense of age. Oscar Bledsoe Jr., founder and president of Staplcotn, was the first owner.
