Here the do-it-yourself design entails several Craftsman images that have been brought together. The dwelling is essentially a Craftsman bungalow with the usual entrance porch and play of gable ends, supported by angular struts. But to the left, the scale changes and becomes miniaturized. This section of the house is of two stories, with the second floor cantilevered out on two sides and more or less worked into the eave sections of the main roof on the other two sides. As is characteristic of the Craftsman mode, the lower portions of the wall are in clapboard; above are alternating narrow and wide bands of shingles.
