The style of this courthouse is PWA Moderne, here rendered in pale brown brick with cast-stone trim. The design is that of a three-story block flanked by two small one-story wings. On the entrance facade there is a pattern of a row of pilasters with windows set between which was often repeated in other courthouses. There is a sparse sprinkling here and there of Moderne ornament (including a pair of bronze lanterns by the entrance); otherwise the building conveys the feeling of grimness characteristic of the depression years.
