The gables and the eaves of this two-story brick house exhibit a playful lacy pattern of sawed bargeboards, and this single feature more than anything else pushes the design into the Gothic Revival camp. The building's entrance is unusual, consisting of two thick columns supporting consoles, which in turn hold up a cantilevered flat roof. One assumes that this strong feature of the present building was added later, perhaps after 1900.
