This mission of Maria Lanakila Roman Catholic Church was constructed to serve Kapalua's residents and guests. The church's steep gable roof, three-tiered bell tower, shallow transepts, and stained glass lancet windows in the chancel follow Gothic forms. The nave's eight sets of koa double doors brighten the interior and offer natural ventilation, while the pergola-covered lanai on each side provide informal public gathering spaces.
