The town of Holly grew up around this ranch headquarters, a three-story masonry building with a shingled mansard roof that was then the largest building in town. A two-story gabled and dormered ranch house of native sandstone and a barn, both south of the tracks, are remnants of a huge ranch that supported some 15,000 cattle. Also on the south end of Main Street is the vacant AT&SF depot, the Santa Fe's standard smalltown design blending Mission and Prairie Style elements in red brick with terracotta trim.
