Queen Anne massing gives this two-story house an asymmetrical front elevation of red brick above a sandstone foundation, with sills and lintels of the same stone. The irregular floor plan features a two-story polygonal bay on the west. A wrap-around front porch, reconstructed as part of an exterior restoration in 1991, is pedimented over the entrance and has turned and bracketed roof supports and a decorative wooden screen beneath the eaves. The carriage house (1906) has been remodeled to fit the earlier style of the house.
