Herman F. Coors, a son of Adolph, built this stone and stucco cottage for his family. A two-story house on an irregular plan, it includes a variety of arched and square-top windows. A stone wall surrounds the four-lot site, where the gardener's and carpenter's houses have been converted into separate residences. Jacques Benedict's octagonal entry has massive walnut beams joining at the center of a dome. Walnut beams also grace the 18-foot living room ceiling. Benedict's trademarks—stone trim and fireplaces, beveled windows, French doors, and exquisite wood-work—enhance the little-altered interior.
