This former Studebaker and Franklin automobile showroom sporting an ornate terracotta facade with green and white floral spandrels has a contemporary north addition in russet brick. The addition's San Francisco architects matched the old showroom's cornice line and massing but used a dramatic, truncated corner display window framed by a three-story concrete arch. The glazed opening allows passing motorists a peek at display floors joined to the old showroom by a central staircase. Although quite different in design, the structures complement each other.
