Following two major fires, this two-story hall was built for duty, for public meetings and as a “pleasant place for the reception of brother firemen who frequently visit the city.” The false-fronted building, topped by a gabled bell tower and bracketed cornice, has three round-arched, double-door entrances. After a new town hall was erected next door, this became a museum for mining, firefighting, and other artifacts.
