Inverness Business Park comprises 900 acres centering on eighteen-hole Inverness Golf Course. American Express, Citicorp, Conoco, Diners Club, Eastman Kodak, Hewlett Packard, John Deere, Martin Marietta, Honeywell, Merrill Lynch, and Pentax are among the tenants. The sleek Inverness Hotel Denver (1989, Knud Frus) is a $53-million, 353,000-square-foot hotel and conference center designed by a Danish architect. An elevated site and prow-shaped end distinguish the eight-story office building (1993, Joseph Poli of Pouw and Associates) at the entrance to the park. Buff-colored precast concrete has stringcourses to resemble limestone. A rectangular tower of reflective glass is attached by a curved, covered walkway to the parking garage. Concrete columns around the recessed entry portico are clad in metal, and the entrance has a beveled concrete surround in a curving glazed grid.
