This McDonald's deserves recognition for its sensitive adaptation of an existing commercial building; the tiny golden arches in the frieze are an in-joke more than an advertisement. Built to house the First National Bank, the two-story, wood-framed building was constructed in 1899. All of the siding, window surrounds, and cornice had been removed before the recent restoration.
