The museum is located on the second floor of the two-story log building on the site of a Russian school. Behind it, in a fenced enclosure, is a collection of log buildings moved there from various sites around town. The buildings are still in the process of restoration, and little documentation of their histories or previous locations exists. Still, the buildings exhibit a variety of construction techniques.
