Built by Civilian Conservation Corps workers, the Wonder Lake Ranger Station is a one-story, L-shaped building. Set on a raised, concrete foundation, the wood-framed building is clad with clapboards up to the window sills and board-and-batten siding above. A porch across the front wraps around one side of the ell; posts are ornamented with rudimentary fan brackets. This example of the Park Service's Rustic architecture has one of the finest views of Mount McKinley from its front porch.
