Barns

The barns are the most prominent buildings on the site. The tallest section, measuring 36 feet by 110 feet, with an ogee-arch roof, was constructed in 1937, while the similarly shaped, 36-foot-by-102-foot section was added later. The roofs are framed with built-up wood trusses, diagonally braced. Perpendicular to them is the older, unpainted barn, a gable-roofed building with dimensions of 40 feet by 104 feet. In front of the barns is the processing building, built in several sections in the 1920s and 1930s, with the most recent constructed of concrete blocks.
